3 beef short ribs per person, seasoned to taste
1 thinly sliced onion
3 thinly sliced celery stalks
2 peeled, sliced carrots
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
Put the ribs in a kettle and cover with water, simmering (slow boil) for an hour to render out some of the fat.
Drain the ribs and put in the crock pot along with 1/2 cup barbecue sauce, onions, celery, carrots.
Turn heat to low and let simmer for a couple hours, or until meat loosens from the bones.
