French Onion Beef
1 to 1 1/2 lbs round steak
2 cups fresh sliced mushrooms
1 (10 oz) can French onion soup
1 (6 oz) pkg herb stuffing mix
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
Cut beef into 5 to 6 serving-size pieces. Slice onion and separate into Rings.
In oblong slow cooker, place steak pieces and top with mushrooms and Onions.
Pour soup over ingredients in cooker. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours.
Just before serving, combine stuffing mix, seasoning packet, butter plus 1/2 cup liquid from cooker and toss to mix.
Place stuffing mixture on top of steak and increase heat to high. Cover and cook additional 15 minutes Or until stuffing is fluffy.
