Cousin David’s Slow Cooker Brisket




• 1 – 3 pound beef brisket

• 2 – 12 ounce bottles of chili sauce (I use Heinz)

• 1 envelope of dry onion soup

• 2 teaspoons of garlic powder


Place beef in slow cooker. In a medium bowl; mix together the chili sauce, the onion soup powder and the garlic powder. Pour over the brisket. Cover and cook on the Low setting for 8-10 hours. Slice brisket against the grain; pour the gravy over the slices. Good with egg noodles or mashed potatoes.


You may have to adjust the cooking time slightly (either up or down) as all slow cooker cook differently.
