1 (16.5-ounce) package refrigerated sugar cookie dough
3 apples, peeled and cored, sliced 1/4-inch thick (2 cups)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons (1/4 stick) butter
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Press the cookie dough into a 9″ x 13″ baking pan, completely covering the bottom of the pan. In a medium bowl, mix the apples with the lemon juice, honey, and cinnamon, and distribute evenly over the cookie dough. In a small bowl, combine the sugar, fl our, and butter and mix with a fork until crumbly. Sprinkle over the apple mixture. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the top is golden.
Serving Tip: Make sure you’ve got some vanilla ice cream on hand when this comes out of the oven. What a match!
