Beans With A Kick! 2 ways

Beans With A Kick!( as I found it )

1 pkg. polish or smoked sausage
1 onion; diced
1 16 oz. pkg great northern or pinto beans
1 can rotel tomatoes

Cover beans with water and soak overnight. Fry sausage and onions until onions are clear and lightly browned. Put into crockpot along with beans and cover with water (if not using water the beans were soaked in). Cook on high for 8 to 10 hours. Add rotel tomatoes during last half our of cooking(so the heat of them don’t cook out)

Here is how I will probably do it.

Beans With A Kick! ( MJ’s Version )

1 pkg. Turkey Kielbasa, sliced
1 onion; diced
1 can great northern or pinto beans, rinsed and drained
1 can rotel tomatoes
1 cup sofrito ( or a pack of Taco seasoning )

Mix all and place in crockpot. Cook on low 5 hours.
