Party Popcorn Cake

Party Popcorn Cake

1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup oil
1/2 pound marshmallows (about 2 1/2 cups)
20 caramels (about 1 cup)
1/2 pound salted peanuts without skins
10 cups popped popcorn
1/2 pound M&M’s (may substitute diced gumdrops)

In microwave or on stove top melt together butter, oil, marshmallows and caramels.

Place popcorn and peanuts in a LARGE mixing bowl.

Add melted ingredients and stir together until popcorn and peanuts are evenly coated. Add the candies last.

Press firmly into oiled 12-cup Bundt pan.

Let stand until firm and completely cooled to room temperature. Remove from pan.

For easier slicing, let stand over night.

The Bundt pan can be used as a cover after the cake is cooled.
